Netflix bringing the Squid Game Haunt for Real; Announces the Squid Game Reality show with production on cards

But as if we were not yet done with the cold shivers the series gave to us, Netflix has recently come up with the announcement of the reality series of the Squid Game with the official title as ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’. To resemble the live survival series to its Fictional version, Netflix has called out to bring the largest cast ever in a reality show with 456 participants along with the biggest cash prize ever for a reality show  of $4.56 Million. The reality series is all set to be filmed in the United Kingdom but will be confined to the casting of English speakers only. The production work will be jointly helmed by Studio Lambert and The Garden and the series will comprise the 10 episodes like the original drama.

‘Maidaan,’ starring Ajay Devgn, is set to hit theatres on Eid 2024.

Ajay Devgn’s movie ‘Maidaan’ tells the compelling tale of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who steered the Indian football team to victory in the Asian Games of 1951 and 1962. The film sheds light on Rahim’s pivotal role in uplifting Indian football, with Ajay Devgn portraying this unsung hero. Originally slated for a June 2023 release, the film faced delays despite completing filming. The theatrical launch is now scheduled for April 2024. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on X, stating, “AJAY DEVGN: ‘MAIDAAN’ TO ARRIVE THIS EID… #Maidaan – starring #AjayDevgn – gets a new release date: April 2024 #Eid… Directed by Amit Sharma.”

While discussing the film, producer Boney Kapoor expressed, “I was astonished that many people are unaware of someone as significant as Syed Abdul Rahim. He’s an unsung hero whose accomplishments deserve recognition. His team featured heroes like Chunni Goswami, PK Banerjee, Balaram, Franco, and Arun Ghosh. It takes someone like Ajay Devgn to portray Syed Abdul Rahim. With him on board, I can only hope that our film inspires young talents to take up football, leading India to bring the World Cup home.”

The film is titled ‘Shaitaan,’ as disclosed by Ajay, hinting at its exploration of supernatural thriller elements.
